BURNING MAN WILL HOST A VIRTUAL FESTIVAL THIS YEAR

Burning Man will not take place in 2021. For the second year in a row, the festival has been postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this year, it will be held virtually.

The organizers note that they have worked out all possible scenarios for the festival this year, but due to uncertainty and lack of proper time for preparation, they decided to cancel and focus on the preparation of Black Rock City 2022.

Burning Man in 2021 was supposed to last from August 26 to September 3 at the usual venue - in the Black Rock Desert in Nevada.

Instead, the virtual Burning Man will run from August 25 to September 5, 2021.

Participants will be able to "wander through virtual worlds", plunge into virtual reality and chat with strangers in text and voice chats.

Burning Man has been held annually in the Black Rock Desert of Nevada since 1986.

One of the slogans of the event is maximum self-expression, civic responsibility and common efforts to organize the holiday.

In 2020, the Burning Man festival took place online for the first time. The organizers have created 10 activity sections on the site, including a virtual party area, a jacuzzi and a jazz club.
